Shadow Of The Man
This is a show about how Burning Man has impacted people, places, and things over time. It is a monthly long form interview show with a guest who is invited to tell their story. All of the guests have a history with Burning Man with some going back to beyond the beginning. Shadow Of The Man showcases our guests and allows them to tell their stories in the manner they want and how they see fit to tell it. These are genuine unedited conversations with movers and shakers as well as burners not many have ever heard of. If you are curious about not just what the hell all these people are doing way out in the desert but why they keep coming back year after year, this is the show for you. #burningman #blackrockcity #burningmanpodcast
Shadow Of The Man
EP 8 Jennie Kay
Welcome to Episode 8 with Jennie Kay. Learn about her start in Michigan in a very religious community before she left for the wild west. She learned about Burning Man after she moved to Monterey, CA and first hit the playa in 2002. After a few years of being one of the main organizers of her theme camp (Cypress Lounge Bingo) she became a Regional Contact for Monterey and started a very popular free and public beach gathering. Jennie became involved in The Seattle Regional group after moving there and also joined the advisory board for Burners Without Borders which she is still on.
This was a very interesting conversation with one of my best friends. Even I learned new things about Jennie.
